Summer Interns

children’s ministry summer intern

Employment Period

30 hours per week beginning May 01, 2019 until August 29, 2019.

Salary

$15.00/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparing and overseeing Sunday morning activities for preschool to elementary age children

  • Coordinating, training, and managing volunteers, lesson planning and preparation, teaching and overseeing children’s ministry weekly programs and events

  • Mentoring children

  • Assisting in planning, preparing and leading of summer Day Camp

  • Possibly assist with GPAC summer camp week

  • Assisting other ministries within the church

Qualifications:

  • Post- secondary student with preference given to individuals in fields of Christian leadership, Pastoral Ministries, Religious Studies, Early Childhood Development or Education

  • In agreement with Grande Prairie Alliance Church Statement of Faith and Vision

  • A healthy growing relationship with God and a lifestyle that models what it looks like to follow Christ

  • Willingness to work in a team environment

  • Ability to successfully plan and implement programs for children and youth

  • Experience with and enjoys working with children

Working Relationships:

  • Be directly responsible to Director of Children’s Ministry and work closely with GPAC children’s ministry team.

  • Work closely with GPAC volunteers and parents of children

  • Coordinating, training, and managing volunteers, and preparation, teaching and overseeing youth ministry weekly programs and events

  • Mentoring youth

  • Possibly assist with GPAC summer camp week

  • Assisting other ministries within the church

  • Post- secondary student with preference given to individuals in fields of Christian leadership, Pastoral Ministries, Religious Studies,
